Orange peel

  1. Beat the room temperature butter for about three minutes to get a smooth texture. Then add the room temperature egg, vanilla extract, sugar, orange peel and beat on high speed until combined, about 1 minute.
  2. Sift in the flour, and gently stir to combine all ingredients.
  3. Fill the piping bag with the dough. Use a big star piping tip and pip the dough on parchment paper. You can make any shape that you like, just make sure that the cookies are not too big.
  4. Bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 10 - 15 minutes, depending on the oven. Once they are baked, remove them from the baking tray immediately and wait for them to cool before decorating.

Chocolate Dip

Ingredients

Dark chocolate: 100 g

Oil: 1 tsp

Desiccated coconut: 20 g

  1. Melt 100 g of chocolate over a double boiler together with one teaspoon of oil to get a smooth texture.
  2. Prepare two plates, one with a chocolade dip and the other with coconut. Dip half of the cookies in chocolate, and then top it with coconut. Place them on a rack to set.

Notes:

  • Depending on your taste you can also use lemon peel instead of orange peel.
  • You can also use hazelnuts or other nuts instead of coconut. You can also omit them completely and dip the cookies only in the chocolate.
